2021 - 457 Pounds, 57 Batches
November 18, 2021 - (T minus 3) Taking "prep" to the next level for the annual "Holy Yost" fudgeapolooza. Let the games begin!
November 22, 2021 - (Day 2) 118 pounds down, 232 to go. Prepped and ready to start again in the morning. Whew!
November 23, 2021 - (Day 3) 208 lbs of peanut butter fudge varieties DONE!. Next up - 142 lbs of chocolate and specialty flavors.
November 28, 2021 - (Day 8) 11 flavors, 350 lbs down, one new beta-flavor to go. Then we'll be ready to begin cutting it all into 8,460 pieces.
December 11, 2021 - (Day 21) Well... hadn't expected COVID-related supply-chain issues to impact our regular ingredient purchases and delay wrapping up the process but the production phase of our annual fudgeapolooza is complete: 17 flavors, 57 batches, 457 lbs cut into 10,170 pieces are now being boxed up for distribution. And, for those who missed it last year, no need to guess what flavor that next piece of fudge is, there is a flavor key under the tray.

2019 - 374 Pounds, Batches 78
November 22, 2019 - (Day 1) First half of the day spent prepping. Knocked out 78 lbs in the second half. Not a bad start.
November 24, 2019 - (Day 3) Finished off all the peanut butter varieties, now on the specialty flavors - 107 lbs down, 193 to go.

2018 - 342 Pounds, Batches 62
Three of our chocolate varieties - Chocolate Salted Caramel Swirl, Triple Mint Chocolate Tort, and Cinnamon Chocolate Cranberry - that have been on the Limited Edition list for a couple of years now that are graduating into a new class of Chocolate Essentials that will be become a standard flavor in our annual fudgeapolooza.
There are still 3 varieties on the Limited Edition list - Traditional Chocolate Walnut, Butterscotch Dark Chocolate Ribbon and Dark Chocolate Coconut - but we have five new Beta Flavors planned for the Yost Test Kitchen this year. Of course, you may see the count in this headline change if can't actually get to all of them, but we've stocked up a very interesting collection of extracts for some newly inspired flavor combinations.
November 23, 2018 - (Day 1) Off to a slow start but super grateful to have our number one, award-winning apprentice back to help this year - 89 lbs down, 253 to go.
November 24, 2018 - (Day 2) Made much better time today. Finished off all the peanut butter varieties, now on the specialty flavors - 185 lbs down, 157 to go.
November 25, 2018 - (Day 3) The Yost Test Kitchen is open and experimenting to develop this year's Beta Flavors...

2017 - 242 Pounds, Batches 36
November 24, 2017 - (Day 1) 3 people + 9 1/2 hours = 126 pounds of peanut butter and PB-chocolate swirl fudge. Six more batches of PB-chocolate swirl to finish up tomorrow. So grateful our youngest son came over to help for the morning shift - I was amazed the difference the third pair of hands made. If he's not available next year, we may have to hire a prep cook for the day. Of course, we'd have to blindfold a stranger to keep the secret recipe in the family so I guess that wouldn't work after all.
December 5, 2017 - (Day 3) After finishing off 180 lbs of Peanut Butter and PB Chocolate Swirl fudge last week-end, we're back in gear to tackle 50 pounds of Limited Edition flavors.
December 6, 2017 - (Day 4) Cutting and packaging is our least favorite part of this process but very pleased with our upgraded packaging.
December 16, 2017 - (Post-Production) Experimented with some single serving options this year.
